Priests gather near the ghat and perform synced rituals. By the end of the ceremony, thousands of people who are watching the ritual from the banks of the river place a small oil lamp on a leaf and let it float on the river. It is a holy place for Hindus and you can find numerous people performing rituals and taking holy dips in the shallow waters.
